  • With the number of tourists it attracts every year, it’s no wonder why businesses, especially restaurants, flock in Boracay. It doesn’t matter which part of the island you’re staying at, because there will surely be restaurants and cafes offering whatever dish or cuisine you’re in the mood for.

    But having that many choices can get pretty overwhelming sometimes. Luckily, we have sampled some of the best restaurants in Boracay to give you a list of must-try eats—in case you’re visiting the beautiful island soon!

    Palay
    Inside Asya Premier Suites, Sitio Cagban, Brgy. Manoc-Manoc, Boracay

    Within the exclusive walls of Asya Premier Suites lies their in-house restaurant that overlooks the resort’s private beach and cove. With a name that means rice grain in Filipino, Palay puts a twist to favorite local comfort food, including the sweet and savory Chicken Adobo Flakes Pizza.

    Streetmarket
    Station X, Hue Hotels and Resorts, Station 2, Main Rd., Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan

    Here’s a food stop for those who really can’t decide on what to eat—Streetmarket is the first and only food hall on the island. It houses seven unique stalls, each showcasing different cuisines from all over the world.

    The District Boracay In-House Restaurants
    The District Boracay, Station 2, Brgy. Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan

    Aside from its luxurious rooms and amenities, The District Boracay also has three in-house restaurants—the House Brew Café, The Plenary, and Star Lounge.

    House Brew Café

    House Brew Café offers coffee, pastries, gelatos, and healthy meal options that are perfect for vegan and vegetarian diners. The café is open from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily.

    The Plenary

    The Plenary reinvents favorite Filipino dishes including their Crispy Binagoongan (Php 300). It’s open from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. daily.

    Star Lounge

    Most known for its roof deck bar that overlooks the White Beach, Star Lounge serves sumptuous steaks and appetizers that go well with their specialty cocktails and drinks. The roof deck lounge is open from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., but the second floor is open for breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    Epic Boracay

    The island may have undergone lots of changes during its rehabilitation period, but some things remain the same—including this well-loved gastropub Los Indios Bravos. Aside from offering classic pub dishes, they are also the only pub on the island offering local craft beers on tap.

    Prana Restaurant

    Sacapaño Restaurant

    Formerly known as PauPatri, Sacapaño is a secret sanctuary nestled beside the Boracay Summer Palace. The mysterious vibe of the restaurant is what draws the diners the most, along with its offerings of Chinese, Russian, and other European cuisines.

    Sensi

    Located just beside the Calypso Beach & Dive Resort in Station 2, Sensi is an Italian restaurant that makes for the perfect stopover after a day’s worth of scuba diving and island exploration.

    Steampunk

    Here’s another OG food stop located inside the shopping hub of D’Mall—Steampunk offers freshly-made burgers and sandwiches including the famous Triple X Burger (Php 695), which is made with half a kilo of pure Brazilian beef patty.

    The Sunny Side Café

    Sometimes all we want to do is go back to the dishes we find most comforting, which to some are staple breakfast items. The Sunny Side Café serves classic breakfast favorites, putting their own local twist to it like their Matchamporado (Php 295), which is a matcha-flavored champorado or chocolate porridge.
