    Hatch 22 is conveniently located outside Powerplant Mall in Rockwell. The beginning of this all-day breakfast café was from the celebrity siblings Erwan and Solenn Heussaff and the talented Chef Pete Ayson. The comfortable contemporary interior of Hatch 22 is definitely a feast to the eyes. Upon entering, the array of bread will make you salivating. Moreover, the aroma of the coffee is enough for you to be led to one of the tables.

    You can come as early as 7am to buy some of their freshly baked bread. We recommend the Bread Basket 2 which consists of different types of bread that are usually sold in the neighborhood bakery but with a little twist. My personal favourite is the Pan de Month and Spanish bread. These are fresh and really soft. Make sure to pair it up with their single-origin coffee.

    Hatch 22 delivers a contemporary and evolving breakfast menu. The fresh and exciting dishes vary from time to time depending on the season or whatever is available in the kitchen. But some of the favourites stay, of course.

    NYOB (Not Your Ordinary Benedict) P295

    What makes this one extraordinary is that the eggs are cooked in sous-vide manner. Chef Pete demonstrated how to achieve a perfect egg: it should be boiled in an airtight plastic bag and in a temperature-controlled steam environment for exactly 55 minutes.  The combination of egg, sautéed spinach, Italian ham and hollandaise sauce makes it a winner dish.

    This tasty and refreshing dish is just perfect for our health-conscious friends out there. The organic quinoa, white cheese, tomatoes, balsamic onions, and red beets black olives with the choice of grilled herb chicken or beef slices blended wonderfully. It is no wonder why it easily became one of the crowd favourite.

    Hatch and Balls

    Whether it’s brunch or dinner time, everyone should try the phenomenal cocktail made by the owner Erwan himself. Hatch 22 serves their own version of hand-crafted cocktails. One of the bestsellers is the Hatch and Ball, a cocktail drink served in a very unique way. The mixture of calamansicello, rosemary syrup and Noliprat inside a frozen ice ball is so refreshing. The ice ball keeps the drink colder. This is such an unusual looking drink that you will not help but order. Definitely a must-try!
