Village Tavern
Village Tavern is actually a beloved chain American steakhouse which has a string of branches in North Carolina, Atlanta, Florida, and Denver. We have The Bistro Group of restaurateurs to thank for bringing it to The Fort – their first branch outside the US. Village Tavern’s specialty is primarily American food with a twist. The kitchen, run by Chef Josh Boutwood, churns out many locally-conceptualized dishes that are influenced by Tex-Mex, Oriental, and even Italian cuisine.
For the shameless carnivore, the Roasted Bone Marrow with Sourdough Bread and Kosher Salt (P350) will immediately make your heart leap. Smear some marrow on the bread, sprinkle some salt on top, and it will not disappoint.

If you’re up for something rich and filling, the Black Pizza (P395) is for you. This brick oven pizza has black dough, which is darkened with squid ink and topped with pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan, Gruyere, mushrooms, bell pepper, and onion. The dough-to-topping ratio is just right; it’s cheesy and peppery in all the right ways.

But The Village Tavern’s specialty is steak, and their Spice-Rubbed US Prime Flank Steak (P550) will surely satisfy. The slices of steak are grilled to medium-rare perfection, and there is no resisting the seared edges and juicy pink center. Paired with the mashed potato and greens on the side, it’s marvelous and surely a bang for your buck. If you want a signature dish, the Cowboy Burger (P595) – thick beef patty, applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and barbecue sauce – is the perfect blend of meaty and tasty.
