  • Sweet Ecstasy in BGC: Making Burgers Awesome
  • In 2012, Sweet Ecstasy was born, first focusing on adult milkshakes. It was just a couple of months before they ventured in burgers and fries. Al Galang, owner and founder of Sweet Ecstasy, grew up in America and was fond of In-N-Out Burger, a famous burger joint in California.

Known for their burgers, they first opened their flagship store in Jupiter Street in Makati City

When he returned to the Philippines with his business partner Monica Tobias, they were inspired to make their own burgers. The flagship branch in Jupiter, Makati began to make waves and they soon found themselves branching out to Uptown Parade in BGC. There are three branches to date, with the latest one found at Ayala Malls the 3oth in Pasig City. They are also found in some food bazaars and pop-up markets.

Sweet Ecstacy burgers are straightforward and just want customers to eat fresh and tasty burgers.

Hip and bright interiors will welcome you inside

The bread is a hybrid of butter bun and a brioche bun, which has a soft texture to it. As for the burger patties, they make it fresh every morning and grind it as well, the meat itself is also locally sourced from Batangas.

    The Double (Php 315)

The Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger (Php 295)

Sweet Ecstacy burgers are indeed one of the best burgers in Metro Manila. One of their best is The Double (Php 315), a classic cheeseburger with twice the beef and cheese. As they aptly put it, “it’s two cheeseburgers in one bun.”

If you’re a fan of grilled cheese sandwiches, you’ll love their Grilled Cheese Cheeseburger (Php 295). Just imagine: cheese, meat, garlic aioli, and more cheese. We’re already drooling just thinking about it.

Onion rings (Php 80), Buffalo Chicken Wings (Php 290), and Pickle Fries (Php 120)

Just like some other burger joints, they have secret burgers that you can order, although you need to make sure to follow and check their social media accounts to see what they are. For something different, you can try their sides that compliment the burgers, one of their best sellers are the Chicken Wings. We recommend the classing Buffalo (Php 290) for a kick of spice.

This also appears on Philippine Primer Japanese Magazine’s December issue (Vol. 117).
