  • Gallery by Chele in BGC: A Modern Twist to Local Ingredients
  • When a restaurant that has been part of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for two years in a row is modified, bars are raised and people expect a greater outcome. Luckily, Gallery by Chele delivered and more.

What once was Gallery Vask in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is now Gallery by Chele, a restaurant offering modern cuisine made with the country’s local ingredients.

Gallery by Vask reopened as Gallery by Chele in May 2018

The heart of Gallery by Chele’s philosophy lies in the continuous exploration and research of the gastronomic culture of the Philippines. They utilize local ingredients by creating dishes through the use of modern techniques.

To ensure a full gastronomic experience, Gallery by Chele offers course meals that are available in threes, fives, and nines. A three-course meal starts at Php 1,750/person, while a five-course meal starts at Php 2,700/person. A nine-course meal can be tried for the price of Php 2,950/person.

They also serve vegetarian course meals priced at Php 1,000 (for a three-course meal) and Php 1,500 (for a five-course meal).

If course meals aren’t your thing, worry not because Gallery by Chele also offers meals and drinks a la carte.

Their best-selling small bites, Meringue de Sal (Php 160) and Tomato Mochi (Php 260), will surely get your appetite started.

Made with chicken, soy, and mousse, Meringue de Sal stays true to its name as it almost immediately melts in your mouth. The Tomato Mochi, albeit small in size, is packed with great flavors of cheese and basil.

Diners are also given a complimentary serving of the restaurant’s own take on the Filipino favorite pandesal. Theirs are made with ube or purple yam and served with a side of coconut spread.

Their Southeast Salad (Php 450) is also a must try as the greens of the salad compliment well with the tender grilled beef on the side.

Aside from being a good place to grab dinner, Gallery by Chele is also perfect for after-work lounging as they boast a menu of exquisitely handcrafted drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
