  • The Dining Room at Gourmet Farms in Silang, Cavite: Foodies’ Destination for Organic and Healthy Eats
  • Gourmet Farms is no doubt a must-visit destination in Silang, Cavite for its 12-hectare estate that serves as a breath of fresh air from the bustling and sometimes chaotic city life. One of its most popular sections is The Dining Room, a farm-to-table concept that offers fresh and wholesome eats.

The Dining Room is Gourmet Farms’ farm-to-table restaurant.

The Dining Room is nestled within the vast estate, well-loved by the guests of the farm due to its tasty offerings and showcase of farm produce.

A sea of green is the usual scenery in Gourmet Farms, just a stone’s throw away from The Dining Room.

Additionally, the place can also be reserved as a venue for different celebrations like weddings and birthdays.

The design and solid white color of The Dining Room at Gourmet Farms gives it a vibe reminiscent of Santorini .

One of the best things about The Dining Room is their salad bar which is composed of a generous variety of greens, fruits, vegetables, and dressings. Since Gourmet Farms is known for its wide plantation of lettuce, you should definitely not miss out on mixing and matching these greens!

There are three varieties of lettuce you can choose from, namely Green Iceberg Lettuce, Lollo Rosso, and Red Sail. Arugula is also available in the section.

After selecting your greens, choose among fruits, vegetables, and dressing to complete your salad. Carry your plate to the weighing scale to get the price of your order before digging in.

The pricing for the salad is Php 85 per 100 grams. We had the opportunity to create our own salad plate and this is what we came up with–a combination of lettuce and arugula with cherry tomatoes, mango, tuna bits, cheese cubes and croutons drizzled with mango dressing. It tastes just as delicious as it looks!

The Dining Room is composed of mostly Italian and Mediterranean dishes with pasta dishes and pizzas as its best-sellers. The vegetables and herbs used for these are hand-picked from the farm and the pasta and dough are made in-house as well.

For lovers of pasta with seafood, the Pescatore (Php 380) is one to try. The dish is composed of fettucini tossed with marinara sauce and topped with a generous serving of assorted seafood. You may sprinkle a bit of parmesan cheese to add flavor. Diners may also request to change the sauce to lemon oil, gambas style, or Blanca sauce.

You can also opt to order a plate of Pesto Speciale (Php 375), an exciting concoction of fettucini, salmon, and white sauce, if you like your pasta creamy and light. The dish is topped with basil pesto (also homemade) and sun-dried tomatoes for a burst of flavors.

The Dining Room also boasts of brick-oven pizzas especially the Gourmet Pizza (Php 550). The crispy yet soft pizza crust is spread with Blanca sauce and topped with shrimp, slices of zucchini, and prosciutto or Italian dry-cured ham.

Cap off the meal with a refreshing glass of The Dining Room’s Signature Cooler (Php 120), a mix of basil, lemon juice, and honey blended in ice or sample the best coffee blends Gourmet Farms can offer.
