  • Resto Veranda in Puerto Galera: Good Food sans Club Music
  • Once upon a time, there was a Swiss chef and a Filipino who were on a holiday in Puerto Galera. They enjoyed the town and everything it had to offer, but missed the flavors you get from freshly-prepared food in a place that doesn’t have the constant pounding of club music. From these two caveats came Resto Veranda.

Perched on an elevated property right on the beach, Resto Veranda serves fresh food with views that will astound anyone who ventures into their restaurant. The Swiss chef is a veteran, spending some of his years working in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (particularly Japan).

They don’t pin you down onto a specific type of cuisine. Their kitchen is known for producing dishes from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas. They’re best known for their Sashimi Salad (Php 410) and Veranda Blanca (Php 480).

Apart from serving good food, they’re also known for their quiet location. Located on the more serene side of White Beach, they can assure peace and quiet as you dine on their best dishes.

This also appears in Volume 122 of Philippine Primer Japanese magazine.
