  • Can you believe it’s already two months since the start of 2018, and waking up tomorrow means starting on our third month? We’ve all been through a lot, we know. We’ve only been through a quarter of 2018, which means there’s still a lot left to discover. Summer is almost here, so why not take a break this weekend and enjoy this slew of events for the first week of March:

    Art Fair Philippines 2018 (March 1 – 4)

    It may have come a few weeks later than usual, but it’s finally back! Art Fair Philippines 2018 is bigger and better than before! More floor space at The Link Carpark with room for more than just the classics, including a section dedicated to photography! Tickets are at Php 350.

    Ortigas Art Festival (until March 26)

    Are you an avid art enthusiast but feel like Makati is a bit far from where you live? How about Capitol Commons? Thanks to the efforts of Allison Wong-David, Helen Mirasol, Peter Sutcliffe, and the Eskinita Art Gallery, Capitol Commons now has its own art festival! Head on over to Estancia Bridge at Capitol Commons for the first-ever Ortigas Art Festival!

    Eros Basilio’s Exeunt II (February 23 – March 8)

    Sticking to the art scene, ArtistSpace at Ayala Museum is staging a solo exhibition for the late Eros Basilio. Her daughter, Camille, gives us this chance to experience her father’s work once more. See Eros’s signature style through Exeunt II.

    REP presents Silent Sky (March 2 – 25)

    Silent Sky is a story that harmonizes science, history, family, love, and the passion of a young woman who forged her own path through a society bent on keeping a woman in her place. It features some of the most captivating performers including Cathy Azanza-Dy, who plays Henrietta Leavitt.

    After War: World War II (until March 4)

    World War II was a mess, and our country was right in the middle of it. Our brave men fought long and hard, and while we commemorate them through the efforts of the Veterans office of the AFP, there is another way. Drop by the Ayala Museum this weekend for the final stretch of After War: World War II Film Festival and Exhibition. Entrance is absolutely free.

    Kinky Boots Limited Repeat Run (March 2 – 18)

    It’s back, but it won’t be around for long! Kinky Boots in Manila is back for a limited run with artist Nyoy Volante playing drag queen Lola. Drop by the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium from March 2 to 18 to see what we hope won’t be the last time Kinky Boots will be shown in the country.

    Kaskade Live at Cove Manila (March 2)

    Kaskade is back, folks! Chicago native Ryan Gary Raddon is back in Manila to light up the night at Okada! He may not be in Boracay this time around, but he will throw down his sickest beats at Cove Manila. Swing by this Friday, March 2, and start your weekend with a bang!

    Enderun Pastry Bootcamp’s Artisan Bread Making 2018 (March 3)

    Learn from Enderun’s experienced bread artisans as Enderun Pastry Bootcamp holds an Artisan Bread-making workshop this weekend! Demos are in store for avid pastry chefs looking to up their artisanal bread game at Enderun Colleges this weekend!
