  • Isarabi is a Japanese yakinuki place which means Fishing Fire (a fire used to lure fish at night), originally from ancient Ichigenkin music from the poems made by Kakinomoto Hitomaro. The restaurant reflects the Japanese life during the 7th and 8th century when fishing was essential, it kept them united.

Located at Creekside Mall in Makati City, Isarabi is a Japanese tavern that serves fresh seafood and grilled dishes. All ingredients are directly flown from Japan and can enjoy it with the iso-yaki.

Abundant kinds of alcohol are stocked to add design to the entire space. They are best known for their Yakininu offerings. Originally, they have five branches in Japan and three in Metro Manila.

Shellfish (Local, Php 120; Japan, Php 280)

    Fresh Scallops (Php 180)

You can find the freshest, Japanese Sazae Shells, Oysters, and Scallops, that can be grilled on the smokeless contraption in the center of their tables. Health conscious customers can also order salads of their choice. Aside from their grilling experience, you can order various dishes such as sashimis, sushi, tempura, and much more.

This Izakaya Japanese restaurant can accommodate around 20 people. What makes them stand out compared to the other Yakininu places and Japanese restaurants is that they are affordable. You can taste authentic Japanese cuisine while getting the entire experience in one restaurant.

This also appears in Philippine Primer Japanese Magazine’s Vol. 120.
