The wine bar opened last August 2017 and easily became the most sought-after wine bars around the metro not just because of the wines they serve, but also with their freshly imported cold cuts.

A certified favorite of Filipinos, The Doctor’s Platter (Php 1,780) is a great mix of cheese and cold cuts with a variety of cold cuts all imported from France and Germany. Including a homemade slice of country rustic pâté and chicken liver mousse with maple syrup giving it a sweet flavor.

For appetizers, Dr. Wine also has roasted Salmon Rillettes (Php 390), served with mustard, pickles, and Salad Artisan Bread or you can try Terrine de Foie Gras Au Torchon an L’Armagnac (Php 750) served with Apple Chutney and Artisan bread.

From their menu comes a Cheese Platter (Php 780) with the chef’s cheese selection of the day served with salad, artisan bread, and wine sea salt butter. Feel free to pair these with their collection of wines!

Dr. Wine also serves fresh salads such as the Mr. Seguin’s Goat Cheese Salad (Php 600) with a strong, melted goat cheese toast drizzled with honey, walnuts and smoked bacon on top of mixed greens with walnut dressing.

Or go for the more fruity Chicken Delicacy Salad (Php 580) with organic chicken gizzards and liver generously deglazed with port wine, bacon bites and apple, mixed lettuce and apple cider vinaigrette for that balance of flavors and texture.

Also for starters, warm the belly with soup. La Soupe A L’Oignon Gratinee (Php 450) with three kinds of onions, countryside bread crouton gratinated with gruyere on top. The hot sweet and tangy soup goes well with another starter, Escargots a la Bourguignonne (Php 550) of traditional Burgundy snails!

Soon to be Dr. Wine’s favorite main dish is the Canellonnis a la Truffa (Php 580) of pasta stuffed in spinach, ricotta, and salsa truffle topped with gratinated cheese that melted to cover all the goodness underneath! A great dish to introduce spinach to children and people with an aversion to vegetables.

Treat yourself to a Braised Australian Lamb Shank (Php 900) that has been marinated in red wine and herbs for 24 hours and slowly cooked for 4 hours and served with sauteed vegetables garnish. Glaze it with the sauce served on the side and let the dish take you to grassland in Australia.

With a touch of the chef’s personal touch is the Georges Blanc’s Mother Secret Chicken Recipe (Php 780) of organic spring chicken with mushrooms, cream, and lemon juice. Consider giving the Provencal Grilled Pork Tenderloin A L’echalote (Php 680) a try. The pork tenderloin is marinated for 48 hours in a mustard marinade before it’s grilled on an iron cast and served with shallots and balsamic sauce. It’s a dish that’s truly worth the try if you’re at Dr. Wine.
