Filipino food is amusing because each district has different characteristics. The menu of Tambayan sa Kanto is centred on Ilocano cuisine. This restaurant uses ingredients that came directly from Ilocos region and the origin of its homey recipes are from the owner’s grandmother who resides in Ilocos. Its hipon (P358), which is this restaurant’s recommended dish, is a healthy soup that has onion, whitebait (Japanese anchovy), tomato, and ginger. Ensaladang gamet (photo 2), a seaweed and tomato salad, and bagnet (P430), crispy fried pork that is cut into small pieces, are just some of the typical Ilocano cuisine that Tambayan sa Kanto serves.
