    Kinky Boots Limited Repeat Run (ongoing until March 18)

    After a successful run in 2017, Kinky Boots will once again own the spotlight this 2018! Back by popular demand, a limited repeat run of Kinky Boots will happen on March 2-18, 2018 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in Makati City with artist Nyoy Volante portraying the character of drag queen Lola.

    REP’s Silent Sky (ongoing until March 25)

    Although there are a lot of astronomy jargon in the play—something that might leave you dumbfounded at some point when you hear them keep rambling about Cepheid variables, Magellanic Clouds, and fluctuating stars—Silent Sky is not intended to be a science lecture. Instead, it is a very human tale that gracefully plays up humans’ dichotomous conflicts concerning career and family, career and love, and reason and emotion.

    Ortigas Art Festival (ongoing until March 26)

    The exhibit is a mix of collaborations from different groups as well as Filipino individuals. Some solo artists include Arvi Fetalvero, Ged Merino, Richard Buxani, Anthony Victoria, and Bon Mujeres. There will also be free workshops every Sunday for the month of March.

    Wanderland Music and Arts Festival (March 10)

     

    One of the most highly anticipated music and arts festival, Wanderland,l is once again rocking us hard this March, letting us discover more of international indie music and arts. This year is made even more special with new artists on the line-up, like Irish band Kodaline and Canadian R&B and soul singer-songwriter Daniel Caesar.

    She Talks Asia Summit 2018 (March 10)

    A total of nine discussions will take place and some of which are panel discussions. Learn the importance of supporting other women through renowned news anchor Karen Davila, followed by a panel discussion from Global Girl Boss: Hannah Reyes-Morales, Ani De Leon Brown, Jen Loong, Faith Fernandez, and Janine Ramirez.

    Russel Peters Deported World Tour (March 10)

    The show features all new material, plus Peters’ signature interactions with the audience. Peters last toured Asia in 2015 & 2016 to sold-out houses.  Peters has returned to live touring after taking time off stage since the filming of his last special, Almost Famous for Netflix in April 2016 in Toronto.

    Salcedo Auctions Important Philippine Art (March 10)

    Guided by these criteria, Salcedo Auctions is pleased to announce its selection of ‘Important Philippine Art’ including ‘Important Philippine Furniture, Tribal & Ethnographic Art,’ which will be going under the hammer on Saturday, March 10, 2 pm at Three Salcedo Place. Preview is ongoing daily, including Sunday and Monday, from 10 am to 6 pm.

    8th Momzilla Fair (March 10 to 11)

    There’s fun for everyone as Fun Nest, Caleb’s Inplaytafun, and Active Fun have prepared play areas for kids and an all-day marathon shoot by Cocoon Studio. The Parenting Emporium will be conducting informative talks and classes on a variety of parenting and baby topics, from breastfeeding 101 to first aid and newborn care.

    Living in the Philippines (March 10 and 13)

    The guest speaker is Julia Holz, an American CPA and BPA who has lived and worked in several countries in Europe and Asia before settling in the Philippines. The talk will start with a brief background of the Philippines, its values, and how to make adjustments. She will also be discussing the language barrier and how to blend in with the locals. This is for new expats and to those who want to understand more about the Filipino culture.

    Back to Basics: A Drawing and Art Appreciation Workshop (March 10, 17 and 24)

    The Yuchengco Museum proudly presents a walk-through to the life and works of Master Fernando Amorsolo with a pragmatic series of lessons in art production. Back to Basics: A Drawing and Art Appreciation Workshop inspired by Fernando Amorsolo is a mix of art history and production to encourage a deeper understanding of the early years of Philippine art while learning drawing techniques at the same time.
