Doughnuts are a popular sweet treat smothered with powdered sugar and are sometimes filled with either chocolate or a fruity, luscious surprise. With a lot of conventional shops you’ll find in the Metro, you often wonder if there’s something a bit more deadly delicious.

Enter Poison Coffee and Doughnuts where the doughnut experience transcends the ordinary and ventures into the realm of extraordinary combinations, now with Pinoy-style doughnuts in their menu!

The interiors, while plain and simple, come to life with the added purple neon lights that scream “POISON,” adding a peculiar but exciting touch to the atmosphere.

Poison Coffee and Doughnuts isn’t your usual neighborhood shop. It packs a venom of flavors and extraction of wit and creativity. The dough they use is a hybrid of sourdough and brioche, making it fluffier and fuller compared to other doughnuts. The bread is chewy without the texture being too overpowering, and the doughnuts are packed with flavors to satisfy every palate.

Some of their must-tries include the Salted Dark Chocolate Doughnut and Dark Chocolate beverage. For a punch of local flavors, you may also want to try their Champorado (chocolate porridge), Mangga’t Suman (mango and rice cake), Turon (banana), and Pili Glaze Doughnut for that rich, Filipino flavors and unique textures.

As if to add to that delightful poison of culinary goodness, the culinary masterminds responsible for Hanamaruken and Tsuke-men also steer the helm at the café, offering an array of Japanese delights, including aburasoba, karaage, and gyudon (beef bowl).

If you ever found yourself wandering around the neighborhood or just really in the search for great doughnuts in the Metro, Poison Coffee and Doughnuts is the best poison there is for happiness.
