With a reputation built on its commitment to traditional Tuscan cuisine, L’Opera has become synonymous with high-quality, classic Italian dishes. In 2025, the restaurant made an exciting move from Fort Strip to the vibrant Seven Neo, marking a new chapter while staying true to its roots and its specialties.

At the helm of L’Opera’s kitchen is Chef Paolo Nesi, an Italian chef, sommelier, and cooking instructor, whose deep passion for Italian cuisine is evident in every dish he creates. Hailing from a family of restaurateurs, Chef Paolo’s love for cooking was nurtured from a young age by his mother and grandmother, both of whom instilled in him the time-honored traditions and flavors of Italian culinary heritage.

Chef Paolo’s cuisine is deeply inspired by the flavors of Maremma, a breathtaking and often-overlooked region in Tuscany, known for its rugged coastline, lush forests, and rich culinary heritage. Drawing from his expertise in authentic Tuscan cooking, Chef Paolo masterfully recreates the time-honored dishes of this area.

Maremma’s cuisine is celebrated for its focus on fresh seafood and game, ingredients that are central to the region’s dining culture. With every dish, Chef Paolo brings the essence of Maremma’s natural bounty to life, offering an unforgettable culinary experience that highlights the best of Tuscany.

For starters, a standout offering at L’Opera is the Toretta di Caprese Con Pomodoro Grigliato e Pesto (Php 750), a delightful combination of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, paired with a rich pesto that perfectly complements the dish’s vibrant flavors.

One of the standout features of the restaurant is its renowned Sunday Roast, a must-try for those looking to enjoy a leisurely weekend meal with family and friends. Inspired by the Sunday lunch tradition in his own family in Italy, Chef Paolo sought to bring this cherished experience to BGC.
