EL BORN in BGC: Serving Catalan Mediterranean Cuisine
What perhaps draws us closer to restaurants, aside from their mouthwatering dishes, exquisite wines & cocktails, and impeccable service, is the story behind them. Every restaurant carries a unique tale of struggles, triumphs, heritage, and even romance, which not only sets them apart but also makes each dining experience more personal and memorable.
EL BORN in BGC, which made its debut on July 1, 2023, on the second floor of the luxurious MITSUKOSHI BGC mall, is a special place for Chef David Amoros and his wife, Ivone, as the restaurant serves as a culmination of their love for Barcelona, Spain where all their culinary journeys took place.

Their love shows in how EL BORN promises a warm and inviting experience, starting from the bar outside the restaurant, specially made for those who want to catch up and get a drink or two.

Once inside, the glow of sophisticated EL BORN will instantly spark romance and give warmth to you and your loved ones as you dine with them among antiques, artworks, potted plants, and hanging lamps.

When it comes to their specialty dishes, EL BORN showcases the essence of Catalan Mediterranean cuisine that highlights the use of fresh and organic produce, from vegetables to meats and seafood, as well as the aroma of different herbs and spices.
Their La Burrata, for example, highlights fresh mixed greens with pesto and burrata cheese on top!

On the other hand, Chef David’s La Bomba de la Barceloneta makes an equally impressive statement with its crisp potato filled with spicy pork, served with salsa de tomate picante and aioli.

Another chef’s recommendation is the Pollo al Josper, featuring chicken roasted in a Josper oven for a beautifully smoky flavor and juicy, tender finish. Served with a choice of potatoes or vegetables, it is a hearty and well-rounded dish that highlights simple ingredients elevated through careful cooking.
