  • Missing Spain and all its food and bars? Bar Pintxos Tapas y Mas in Salcedo Village, Makati, a typical tapas pintxos bar, will surely remind you of Spain. They offer authentic Spanish flavors in their dishes as well as beers for fun nights with friends and co-workers.

    Pintxos are small snacks typically eaten with liquor which is traditional in Spain. The owner Miguel Vecin, grew up in Barcelona, Spain and developed the menu for Bar Pintxos.

    Bar Pintxos has branches in Alabang and BGC, but their Salcedo Village branch in Paseo Parkview, San Agustin St. is their newest and most intimate place yet.

    The seating in the restaurant is perfect for families and groups of friends.

    This branch has already become a popular spot in Salcedo Village for its wide range of liquor such as Spanish and local beers, as well as recommended house wines and other international liquors. Complementing this is their selection of pintxos and tapas.

    The recommended pintxos at Bar Pintxos are the Jamon-Allioli (Php 110), Chorizo y Huevos (Php 70), and Gildas (Php 60) which all use fresh imported meats that are cooked fresh making them very delectable and flavorful.

    Chorizo y Huevos (Php 70) includes a quail egg which makes the pintxos so delicious!

    Their Salmon (Php 200) is made flavorful with goat cheese, truffle honey, and caviar. A must is the Butifarra (Php 100) which has Catalan sausage, allioli, and homemade salsa.

    Finally, try the Regatta (Php 160) with seared goats cheese, tomato jam, and Jamon made to look like a boat ready to race.

    Meanwhile, tapas in English means savories or finger foods and in Bar Pintxos, bestsellers include the Calamares a la Plancha (Php 400) made of seared baby squid, tastes very delicious and well-seasoned.

    The Croquetas de Jamon (Php 260) has bechamel and the Jamon Serrano is served with cream sauce making it a favorite at the restaurant as well. They make sure to keep the flavor true to its source which both local and foreign customers appreciate.

    Bar Pintxos also accepts reservations and private functions such as anniversaries, tasting events, or meetings at their place. When given enough time and an ample budget, they can also whip up a special dinner!
