  • Warung in Pasig: Traditional Indonesian Cuisine
  • Authentic Indonesian cuisine is something that’s hard to find every day of the week. Unless you know Indonesian cuisine by heart, you’ll usually find something that resembles Indonesian food. If you’re on the hunt for true Indonesian cuisine, look no further than Warung Kapitolyo.

Warung Kapitolyo started out as one of the many food stalls in the Legaspi Sunday Market. Owned by sisters Louh and Tess, both of whom lived in Indonesia for 20 years, it’s one of the few restaurants in Metro Manila that serve true Indonesian food.

They serve Indonesian classics like Martabak Telur, a crispy crepe-like omelet; Sate Ayam, chicken skewers bathed in peanut sauce; and Beef Rendang, a coconut-spiced beef dish. The place is also ‘Gram-worthy thanks to its main dining hall decked with Indonesian furniture and accent pieces.
