  • Island Hopping from Magic Island Resort, Guimaras
  • Guimaras may be known for its delicious mangoes, but the islands surrounding it are no slouch. The Taklong Island National Marine Reserve, or TINMR to the locals, is one of two places that you can visit for island hopping.

TINMR was declared a marine reserve by virtue of Proclamation No. 525, s. 1990. It covers 46 islands and islets with white sand beaches that can be accessed either via a dedicated tour group or through one of the resorts within TINMR: Magic Island Resort.

For Php 100 – Php 200 per person, you can enjoy a 1.5-hour island hopping trip around TINMR which includes trips to Binabaywan Island, Sapa/Suba Malawig, Piagau Beach, and Taklong Cave. You can also ask the boatman to drop you off any of the islands and islets you run into along the way, as well as drop by the sandbar with the Floating Cottage (Php 50 extra to enter).
