Since its inception in 2010, Altro Mondo has been championing the country’s contemporary art scene by consistently transporting both artists and audiences to the diverse realities represented through art. The gallery, where art sparks conversations and cultural exchanges, has gained recognition for hosting an array of solo and group exhibitions featuring both Filipino and international artists.
In its pursuit of cultural and critical exchange within the art community, Altro Mondo engages in numerous collaborations. These partnerships extend across a broad spectrum, including independent curators, artist collectives, institutions, writers, art critics, fellow galleries, museums, and corporate entities. Additionally, the gallery actively participates in local and international art events such as Art Fair Philippines, Manila Art, and Art in the Park, as well as events in Singapore and China. This involvement highlights the gallery’s dedication to promoting both Filipino and foreign artists by carefully curating exhibitions and participating in museum representations and international art fairs, often in partnership with prestigious international galleries.

In 2019, the gallery inaugurated its state-of-the-art 800 sqm creative space along Chino Roces Ave. This new space not only continues to host exhibitions from local and international contemporary artists but also serves as a venue for conferences and artist residencies. Complementing this, in 2013, Altro Mondo opened its second gallery at the Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences in Salcedo Village. This gallery, situated within a 9-story boutique hotel that features art in all public spaces, focuses on experimental works by emerging artists. The 80-square meter gallery space, divided into two identical rooms, allows for flexible and simultaneous exhibitions, welcoming a variety of art installations and performance art.
