  • Patisserie Kyo in BGC: Offering Healthy Take-Away Bread and Pastries
  • Patisserie Kyo in BGC was founded with a simple yet meaningful purpose: to encourage a more disciplined and mindful approach to daily eating.

After living in the Philippines for over 10 years, owner Masako Kimura observed that many Filipinos often pay little attention to the quality of their everyday food intake. This realization inspired her to open a shop that could offer a healthier, more thoughtful alternative within the district.

With this advocacy in mind, the bakery serves only items made with quality ingredients, from freshly baked goods to all-natural Japanese fare. “Everything we offer here is free from preservatives to maintain the integrity of the food,” the Tokyo-born food specialist shared, stressing that this is what sets Patisserie Kyo apart from others.

In 2014, Patisserie Kyo relocated to its current home at Trion Towers, just a few steps away from SM Aura. The patisserie now shares its cozy space with Ralph’s Wine and Liquor Shop, continuing its mission to bring honest, wholesome Japanese-style baked treats to the community.

Among their well-loved takeaway bread is their signature Sausage Roll, perfect for a savory pastry snack. They also offer Melon Pan, which is a popular sweet bun in Japan made with milk and enriched cookie dough. Also pick the Choco Chip Bread to try a different flavor.

The Éclair (Php 200) is another standout, its crisp, delicate shell giving way to a generous filling of rich, bittersweet chocolate cream. Each bite offers a satisfying contrast of textures and deep chocolate notes, making it an irresistible treat for devoted chocolate lovers.

You may also try their An Doughnuts, soft and airy pastries enveloping a smooth Japanese sweet red bean paste. The filling lends a gentle, lingering sweetness that perfectly complements the lightness of the dough, making these doughnuts an ideal choice for anyone craving authentic Japanese flavors in a simple yet comforting bite.

Without any additives used, all the bread and pastries are guaranteed to last longer.

Meanwhile, if you want to lounge around and have some hearty eats to try apart from bread, Patisserie Kyo has Sukiyaki Donburi, Chicken Karaage, and Wagyu Hamburg Bento for your meaty cravings.

Kimura shared that many of her regular customers buy dishes like the sukiyaki and karaage only for take out so that they could pair it with rice at home.
