    From the kitchens of Alain Ducasse in Paris and Jean-Georges Vongerichten in New York, Chef Kaye Torres gives you an excuse to take out your phones just before you eat at Palate Restaurant in Uptown Parade, BGC.

    ELEGANCE IN SIMPLICITY. No need for extravagant interiors with Palate.

     

    Palate takes its cue from Chef Kaye’s colorful personality. Food served at Palate has a story behind every bite, with ingredients sourced from local grocers. Its French Mediterranean-inspired menu compliments the simple yet elegant ambiance the 60-seater restaurant has.

    THE STARTER. This mushroom soup is unlike anything you’ve seen or tasted.

     

    Flavor is never left hanging at Palate, especially with food looks as good as it tastes. Start your meal with a Mushroom soup (P235), a creamy way to stimulate your palate that’s topped with wood garnish.

    THE BEET IS ON. A refreshing beet salad to rinse your palate.

     

    Next up is their refreshing Beet salad (P325), with its combination of goat cheese, honey, and a soft-boiled egg, finished off with lemon vinaigrette.

    STAR OF THE SHOW. Health-conscious? Give Palate’s pan-seared salmon with pea puree and market vegetables a try.

     

    The star of the show is the Pan-seared salmon with pea puree and market vegetables (P830). It’s a main that’s perfect for any health buff, with a perfectly pink salmon and a medley of vegetables.

    END YOUR MEAL STRONG with their frozen crème brulee.

     

    Finish off your meal with a delicious and colorful frozen crème brulee in a caramel nest, vanilla cremeux, and assorted fruits.

    You can find Palate Restaurant at the second floor of Uptown Parade, 9th Ave. cor. 38th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. They’re open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
