The concept came to life during a time when Manila’s dining scene was growing more appreciative of European cuisine. Inspired by Chef Kennedy’s travels and exposure to authentic Italian and Spanish dining, Bueno Tapas & Wine Restaurant was created to bring that experience closer to the local market while maintaining quality, warmth, and character.
Among its recommended dishes is the Gambas Al Ajillo, a Bueno Tapas & Wine Restaurant signature and chef’s recommendation featuring spicy garlic shrimp cooked in olive oil.

Another highlight is the Pulpo Gallego a la Brasa, a guest favorite and chef recommended, featuring perfectly charcoal-grilled octopus.

To begin your culinary journey to a hearty meal, guests may also try the Paella Iberico, a rich and savory paella made with the famed black-hoofed Iberico pig, making it a favorite for those looking for a hearty and flavorful centerpiece.

His culinary background is built on a combination of formal training, hands-on kitchen experience, and continuous learning through travel. His time in San Sebastián, Spain, where he worked alongside talented chefs, helped strengthen his foundation in European cuisine, particularly Spanish and Italian.
His cooking philosophy centers on quality ingredients, balance, and creating dishes that respect tradition while giving guests a memorable dining experience.
Bueno Tapas & Wine Restaurant also welcomes private events. Its BGC branch features a private dining room that can accommodate up to 35 guests, while exclusive venue rental is available at both BGC and Pasig branches.
