  • Bellini’s in Quezon City: Serving Superb Tuscan Cuisine Since 1999
  • Cubao Expo, an iconic artistic center in Quezon City that is anything but typical. Once a forgotten shoe expo, it has evolved into a quirky, retro-style enclave that is now a popular destination for creatives, collectors, and the curious. It is filled with hip bars, independent galleries, vintage stores, and artisanal cafes. Every corner has a unique story to tell, and it’s where nostalgia and innovation collide. Bellini’s Italian Restaurant, a long-standing Italian restaurant renowned for serving up authentic Italian cuisine, is located right in the center of this charming enclave.

If you’re looking for a place that does not only serve Italian cuisine but also has the look of Italy itself, look no further than Bellini’s. Bellini’s has been around in Cubao X since 1999, making it one of the popular destinations in the said district. Managed by the wife and children of the late Roberto Bellini, Bellini’s is considered an institution when it comes to Italian cuisine.

A lot of Filipinos may know the place as it was the venue for the hit movie One More Chance starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, but for some, including politicians and A-listers, Bellini’s is a favorite place for their Italian fare. With the owners’ experience in Italian cooking back home, expect copious amounts of delectable Italian food ranging from pasta, pizza, and more. Here are some of our recommendations:

Start your meal with Burrata di Pomodoro, a bright, creamy appetizer that is nearly too beautiful to eat. On top of a bed of juicy tomatoes, a ball of creamyburrata is topped with fresh basil and olive oil. You’ll be in for a real treat if you pair it with focaccia!

Ravioli al Tartufo consists of rich truffle cheese in handmade ravioli, which are then dipped in a light cream sauce and garnished with a generous amount of fresh arugula. It might look rich, but it’s well-balanced thanks to the peppery greens, which expertly cut through the richness. This is the type of dish that will make you say, Mamma mia! while closing your eyes.

For the main event, get their Bellini’s Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a juicy, expertly grilled T-bone steak that will transport you to a real Tuscan feast! This meaty cut is served with crispy fries and lemon wedges for added zing. It is juicy, smoky, and bursting with garlic and rosemary. We won’t judge even if you eat this on your own!

What sets it apart from other Italian restaurants would be their ambiance. In here, you are made to feel like you’re in Italy—with all its colorful ceiling and wall, 3D Italian art displays, and fine setup completing the whole Italian vibe. Tip: check out their chairs of fame where names of famous personalities who have been there are pinned.

Established in 2017, Palm Grill proudly serves the rich flavors, vibrant culture, and storied history of the Zambasulta region—Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi—offering diners a rare opportunity to explore Southern Mindanaon dishes without leaving Metro Manila. Known as the only authentic Southern Mindanaon restaurant in Luzon, Palm Grill goes beyond simply serving food. It showcases culinary traditions deeply rooted in Tausug and Zamboangueño heritage, highlighting ingredients and cooking techniques that are not commonly found in mainstream Filipino restaurants. A must-try for first-time diners is the Dulang (Php 1,119)—a specialty tray traditionally served during royal banquets. This curated sampler features a variety of Palm Grill’s signature dishes, making it the perfect introduction to the bold and layered flavors of Zambasulta cuisine. Presented generously and meant for sharing, it reflects the communal spirit of Southern dining. Another standout is the Tiyula Itum (Php 560), a striking black beef soup from the Tausug community. Often described as “Bulalo 2.0,” it offers a comforting yet complex flavor profile that surprises and delights. For something hearty and satisfying, the Beef Satti (Php 300) delivers skewered beef served with a flavorful sauce that perfectly balances sweet, savory, and spicy notes. It’s a beloved Southern staple that captures the bold personality of Mindanao’s cuisine. Through its thoughtfully prepared dishes and dedication to authenticity, Palm Grill continues to champion the culinary identity of Zambasulta. For diners in Quezon City seeking flavors beyond the usual Filipino fare, Palm Grill offers an immersive experience—where history, culture, and cuisine come together in every bite.
