Shaburi and Kintan Buffet in Japan Town, Glorietta: Unlimited Choices of Flavorful Eats

This restaurant brings together Shaburi and Kintan—two Japanese restaurants that serve shabu-shabu and yakiniku, respectively.

Shaburi

Shaburi is known for their very unique way of serving shabu-shabu. While most restaurants serve theirs in big portions, Shaburi gives their guests their own hotpots that allow them to personalize to their liking.

When dining at Shaburi, first, choose the 90-minute buffet course you wish to avail of. Here’s a quick rundown of the courses that you can choose from:

90-Minute Weekday Lunch Course (includes access to the buffet, drinks, and dessert)

Regular Shabu (Tasty Beef, Low Fat Pork Tender Chicken) – Php 599 for adults, Php 350 for children
Special Shabu (Special Beef, Tasty Beef, Low Fat Pork, Tender Chicken) – Php 799 for adults, Php 350 for children
Shaburi Wagyu (Shaburi Wagyu, Special Beef, Tasty Beef, Low Fat Pork, Tender Chicken) – Php 1, 249 for adults, Php 750 for children

You can also avail of their Plate Set Menus during weekday lunch, which are good for 60 minutes. Take note that since these are set meals, there are no separate rates for children and adults. The choices are as follows:

Don’t forget to choose your soup from their delectable choices, such as Original Konbu, Sukiyaki, Soy Milk Miso, Chicken Collagen Paitan, and Hot Miso. If you want to try two soups at the same time, consider going for their twin pot!

Kintan

If you’re looking to sample some yakiniku, you can head on to Kintan Buffet. This is the perfect place if you want to try something new and slightly veer away from the samgyupsal or Korean BBQ trend.

Kintan Buffet allows customers to have a premium BBQ experience without breaking the bank. You can make the most out of your yakiniku experience by choosing your favorite type of meat and sauces, then grill to your preference.

However, if you’re not that much of an eater but still want to sample their delicious offerings, you can opt to try their Plate Set Menu that’s good for 60 minutes. You can order 2 plates from your preferred buffet course. The rates are as follows:

To help make dining at Shaburi and Kintan Buffet a breeze, here are some important reminders:

Their lunch menu starts from their opening time until 5 p.m. Their Grand or Dinner menu starts from 5 p.m. onwards.
Child rates apply to kids who are 3ft to 4ft in height. Children who are below 3ft are free of charge while anyone who is over 4ft will be charged the adult rate.
There is a Php 190/per 100g per person fine for those with leftovers. Strictly no take-outs.
There is also a Php 190/per 30 minutes per person fine for time extensions.

How to get here

From Ayala Avenue, head northwest then make a right at Paseo de Roxas. Make another right to Makati Avenue and left to Ayala Avenue. Continue on Palm Drive. Japan Town is located at the 4/F Top of the Glo, Glorietta 2.
For those with vehicles, you can park at the Glorietta Underground Carpark, the Paseo Steel Carpark, or at Park Square.
