Musashi-Tei, which reopened last April 22, is definitely one of the biggest restaurant names to reenter Manila dining scene this 2024. The Japanese restaurant brings over the culinary prowess of Japanese experts, namely ramen masters Uchida and Maeda, tonkatsu experts Yamashita and Yamaguchi, and barista Yoshizawa to the Philippines.
Serving their specialty ramen from one of their famous ramen restaurants in Japan called Maruton Honpo, Musashi-Tei offers their noodle favorites to their guests as they also bring over their special ingredients all the way from Japan.

Established in 1967, the Musashi Group opened their doors to offer hearty servings of their dishes, specializing in tonkatsu (deep-fried pork cutlet), ramen, and sushi, among others.
One of the things that make it a must-visit Japanese spot in the business district would be their meticulous preparation of the dishes, based on the recipes from Maruton Honpo in Japan, all while using local ingredients.

Entering the 106-seater restaurant, it will remind you of those restaurants you see in Japan, complete with the authentic Japanese interiors and Japanese characters written all over the walls of the place. Musashi-Tei also has function rooms for those who’d like more privacy.
Musashi-Tei has a wide selection of Japanese dishes, with a focus on ramen. They have several variations of tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen, including Tonkotsu Shoyu, Miso Tonkotsu, Tonkotsu Shio, and a spicy Kara Tonkotsu option. They also have Wafu-style (Japanese-style) Shoyu and Shio ramen for those who prefer a lighter, soy-based broth.

For those looking for a more complete meal, Musashi-Tei offers two value-packed set menus: A Set and B Set. The A Set allows diners to pair their ramen with a side dish like Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Agadeshi Tofu, or Salmon Sashimi. Meanwhile, the B Set is perfect for seafood lovers, thanks to a combination of ramen, Mini Salmon Don or a selection of sushi, such as Tuna Nigiri or Salmon Nigiri.

Aside from ramen and set meals, Musashi-Tei also offers delectable rice bowls and appetizers. The menu includes Maguro Yukke (spicy marinated tuna), Dashimaki Tamago (Japanese rolled omelet), and Mini Curry, all of which complement their ramen nicely.
