Christian Tio emerged victorious at the first-ever Kitesurfing Youth Olympic Qualifiers Asia at Pranburi, Thailand, with a final score of 26 points. The victory at last week’s qualifier establishes the 17-year-old Boracay-native as the Philippine representative at the forthcoming Youth Olympic Games III in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The tournament was hosted by the International Kiteboarding Associating (IKA) and TwinTip:Racing (TT:R) at Paknampran Beach from March 13 to 18, 2018. The IKA assembled a number of leading young kitesurfers from the Philippines, China, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand for five days of intense back-to-back action. The Great British Festival 2018 kicked off last February 23, 2018, at the Glorietta 2 Activity Center as the British Embassy Manila brings together some of the biggest UK brands to showcase the best of UK’s music, fashion, food, innovation, and arts. British Ambassador of the Philippines, Daniel Pruce British Ambassador Daniel Pruce led the ribbon cutting ceremony that formally opened the festival activities.
