Here’s a round-up of events happening around Manila this weekend that you may be interested to go to!
Arte Povera (February 10 to April 30)
The Metropolitan Museum of Manila, in partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Manila, presents its newest exhibition, Arte Povera: Italian Landscape. Open from February 10 until April 30, the exhibit features artworks of Italian artists during the contemporary art movement of the same name.
Curated by Daniel Eccher, the exhibit consists of artworks commonly made out of pre-industrial age materials including rocks, clothing, paper, and rope.
Get the chance to appreciate art far from its traditional form at Arte Poveda. The admission fee is Php 100 for adults and students, and Php 80 for senior citizens and PWDs.

Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Manila 2020 (February 14 to 24)
Book lovers, rejoice! The world’s biggest book sale, Big Bad Wolf is coming back to Manila from February 14 to 24, 2020 at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.

45th International Bamboo Organ Festival (February 20 to 26)
Enjoy a night of musical artistry as local and international talents perform at the 45th International Bamboo Organ Festival on February 21 to 26, 2020, at the St. Joseph Parish Church, Las Piñas City.
Organized by the Bamboo Organ Foundation Inc., the International Bamboo Organ Festival is a week-long festival that features and celebrates the beauty of music and the uniqueness of the bamboo organ.
Tickets to the performances start at Php 300. Tickets are available through TicketNet and SMTickets.

Art Fair Philippines 2020 (February 21 to 23)
Experience the best in modern and contemporary Philippine virtual art as Art Fair Philippines announces their upcoming annual exhibit on February 21 to 23, 2020, at The Link, Ayala Center in Makati.
Open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Art Fair Philippines is one of the premier platforms supporting Filipino art practitioners since 2013. They create a passageway for Filipino art to be showcased and accessed by anyone, while also allowing them to discover exciting art landscapes in the country.
Tickets can be purchased at the Art Fair Philippines website for Php 350 only. Each guest must enter a valid email address to receive your QR code to be presented upon entry on February 21 to 23, 2020.

Food and Hotel Expo 2020 (February 21 to 23)
Starting off another year of a string of anticipated expositions is the 2020 installment of the Food and Hotel Expo Manila, which is set to occupy the expanse of SMX Manila Convention Center in Pasay City with its 250 booths this coming February 21 to 23, 2020.
The annual event will yet again provide an avenue for entrepreneurs and consumers alike that is centered on boosting the value of food, beverage, and hotel sector not only across the country but also across the globe.
Admission is priced at Php 80 for walk-in guests and Php 50 for those who registered online.

Jeepney Wine Tour 2020 (February 22)
AWC Philippines is hosting another Jeepney Wine Tour that will take you and your wine-friendly taste buds around Bonifacio Global City (BGC) this coming February 22, 2020.
Not only will you be able to sojourn on a one-of-a-kind wine tour around BGC but you will also find out the three main wine-producing countries through a series of wine tasting activities. Participants will also be able to treat themselves to an exclusively Filipino way of life—which is riding the jeepney, together with other wine aficionados.

UNKNWN.Fiesta (February 22)
Happening on February 22, 2020 at Puerta Real Gardens, Intramuros, UNKWN.Fiesta is a first of its kind festival that celebrates Filipino heritage and culture through the merging of local and international music, art, food, and design.
Enjoy the three stages of UNKNWN.Fiesta—Abanico Stage, Jeepney Stage and UNKNWN Village where you’ll witness a mix of performances from different local artists such as Joey Abando (lead singer of Boyfriends), Big Hat Gang Live, Similarobjects, Adrianne b2b Dignos, Badkiss, and Arbie Won.

Beethoven Festival 2020 (February 22)
Experience and appreciate the works of Ludwig Van Beethoven at the Beethoven Festival 2020 happening from February to May at Manila Pianos in Makati.
Beethoven Festival 2020 is a celebration of the 25oth birth anniversary of Ludwig Van Beethoven. Happening once a month, the February 22 performance will feature Chamber Music to be played by distinguished artists pianist Mariel Ilustario, Jeanne Rafaella Marquez on violin, and Justin Vincent Louie Talusan on cello.
Tickets for Beethoven Festival 2020 is available at Ticketworld outlets and online starting at Php 1,000 for Regular Seats.
