  • July is coming in fast! As we welcome the new month, why not spend the first weekend by attending these exciting events—from biggest fairs and film festivals to musical shows—happening in Manila?

    Travel Madness Expo 

    Time to tick some countries off your bucketlist as this year’s Travel Madness Expo is filled with exciting deals! Now on its 8th year, the biggest travel fair will run tomorrow until this Sunday at SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City. There are several travel agencies, hotel and resorts, airlines, cruise lines, and partner tourism organizations offering their best exclusive promos. Entrance fee is Php 75 only.

    EIGASAI 2019 

    Opening today, this year’s Japanese Film Festival, known as EIGASAI, presents a lineup of amazing films everyone must see. This weekend, head on to Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong and watch some of the featured shows—like Lu Over the Wall, Samurai Marathon, Mirai, and Mixed Doubles—from 2 pm to 7 pm. On Saturday, there will be a performance from Keisho Ohno, a known master of Shamisen, a three-stringed Japnese traditional music instrument. There are also screenings outside the Metro running until August.

    World Chocolate Fair

    If you’re a certified chocoholic, then the World Chocolate Fair is a sweet-filled event you wouldn’t want to miss. Happening from this Friday until Sunday at the Main Atrium of S Maison in Pasay City, the fair will give a taste of the recently awarded Auro Chocolate. Sample chocolates and other desserts from establishments like BLK 513, Olivia & Co., and Overdoughs are also available. Bring your friends and indulge in a chocolate extravaganza! Event starts from 10 am to 10 pm. Admission is free.

    The Show: A Tribute to ABBA

    Relive the ABBA vibe as the group “The Show” brings their tribute show to the renowned Swedish pop group in the Philippines this Sunday. Composed of Waterloo, considered as “the best ABBA tribute band ever”, the original musicians of ABBA, National Symphony Orchestra of London and Conductor Matthew Freeman, The Show is gracing the stage of New Frontier Theater, starting at 7 pm.     Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
