PRA Celebrates 33rd Anniversary
The Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), headed by the General Manager & CEO Atty. Bienvenido K. Chy, celebrated its 33 years of fruitful existence at the Philippine International Convention Center on July 6, 2018.

With the theme “Fostering Innovations and Good Governance,” the celebration became a night of fun and camaraderie, highly participated by distinguished guests, the Special Resident Retiree’s Visa holders, and PRA employees. Partner government agencies like the Bureau of Immigration and the Department of Tourism, as well as the business and media partners and accredited merchants also joined in—all recognized by their significant contributions.

Present also in the celebration is Philippine Special Envoy to Kuwait Sec. Abdullah D. Mama-o as guest of honor, and Deputy Administrator for Employment and Welfare of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Villamor Ventura Plan who delivered an anniversary message.

In his speech, Atty. Chy acknowledged all valued retiree-members whom he described as their “prized asset,” for making the country a top retirement destination. He then expressed his gratitude to the marketing and merchant partners, stakeholders, and active agents in pursuing the mandate and attaining the agency’s goals and target. Beyond grateful, the CEO said he is looking forward to a bright and secured future for all.
Part of the celebration was the awarding of all outstanding PRA personnel who rendered 10 to 30 years of selfless government service.
PRA is a government-owned and controlled corporation attached to the Department of Tourism. It is mandated to attract foreign nationals and former Filipinos to reside, retire, and invest in the Philippines. Holders of PRA’s core product, the SRRV, may stay in the Philippines for as long as they want without the need of giving up their citizenship. Other benefits include multiple-entry/ exit, exemption privileges, discounts for services offered by the PRA Merchant Partners, and assistance in obtaining documents from other government agencies.
