    Eye Plastic and Reconstructive, Orbital, and Lacrimal Surgery

     

    Dr. Franklin Kleiner performs reconstructive and cosmetic treatments to restore or improve function and appearance of the eyelids, eye sockets, and tear ducts.  Ophthalmology deals with vision, eye care and diseases of the eyeball and orbit.  He has done thousands of surgeries over his 27-year career as a surgeon.

    After completing his medical degree in UP College of Medicine and residency at the UP-Philippines General Hospital (PGH.  Dr. Kleiner had his fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Ohio, USA and Kantonsspital Winterthur Augenklinik in Winterthur, Switzerland in 1990.

    On some mornings he starts with surgery and during the afternoon he sees his patients. He is a life member and was a part of the Executive Council of the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology, a founding member and former president of the Philippine Society Ophthalmic plastic & Reconstructive surgery, and lastly, he was founding member of the Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS). Currently, he serves as the Section Chief of Oculoplasty and Lacrimal Service at Asian Eye, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science in UP-PGH, and Rizal Medical Center.
