ANA celebrates 5th year of operations in Manila
February 2011 saw the first time All Nippon Airways (ANA) land on Philippine shores. They made their mark with top notch in-flight service as well as a penchant for being one of the most consistent airlines. Today marks their fifth year in servicing flights between Tokyo (via Narita Airport) and Manila.
According to Yuki Yamamoto, Sales Executive for ANA, “We have seen a 150% increase in passengers compared to last year.” He also said they have seen the number of passengers rise since they began their operations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
“Most of the passengers that fly with ANA are those who connect with a US-bound flight from Narita airport. We have served these passengers for 5 years, and this is our way of thanking them,” he added.
All passengers bound for Tokyo today received a one-of-a-kind leather bag tag from ANA. Apart from the bag tags, they were also treated to finger food and a free drink at the waiting area just before the boarding gate. Passengers also had the chance to immortalize the moment with a free photo booth set up by ANA staff.
ANA is one of the few five-star airlines that operate within NAIA. They have daily flights between Manila and Tokyo via Narita and Haneda Airport, with two flights between Narita and NAIA daily (one in the morning and the other in the afternoon).
