Japan’s apples and pears are now available in Metro Manila
Rustan’s marketplace in Metro Manila started the retailing of apples and pears from Yamagata Prefecture, Japan from December 5th, and will continue until January 2016. Shoppers can see and buy the Japanese apple varieties of “Sinano-Gold” and “Sinano-Sweet” and the popular pear variety “La-France” at the Rustan’s Marketplace outlets. A Japanese apple variety “Fuji” is also sold from the start of January.

Apples and pears are the only fruits, which are permitted for exports from Japan to the Philippines, in accordance with the agreement on plant quarantine between the two countries. Why not savor these delicious Japanese winter fruits this holiday season!
