Writer’s Block Philippines
Whether you’re a budding writer or an organization in need of communication consulting, Writer’s Block Philippines can help you with an array of services that they offer.
Writer’s Block Philippines (WBP) was founded in 2010 to extend help to writers, with the first run of Jumpstart Your Freelance Writing Career seminar. “Writing workshops were sporadically offered back then, and if there were any, these were directed more towards creative writers. We wanted to help out fellow freelance writers who want to get their bylines published,” according to founders Ana P. Santos and Nikka Sarthou-Lainez.
Hundreds of writers, communicators and creative entrepreneurs have taken part in WBP programs. At least 5 public writing workshops are held in a year, revolving on topics like travel writing, writing for the web and social media, arts and culture, and feature writing. In 2015, they also launched the Creative Entrepreneurship Summit with entrepreneur-speakers Anton Diaz, RJ Ledesma, Mina V. Esguerra, and Vince Golangco, among many others. Said the founders, “We gathered inspiring entrepreneur-speakers to talk about how they were able to turn passion into profit. We plan to do this event annually.”

Beyond guiding individual writers, WBP also extends their services to enterprises and organizations in need of editorial services and consulting. They can also provide customized writing and communications training and workshops for companies.
