Located on the 2nd floor of The Finance Centre Building along 26th Street corner 9th Avenue, the Manila branch offers more than just premium steaks—it delivers the full Smith & Wollensky experience, from attentive service to a classic American steakhouse ambiance that makes guests feel as if they have stepped into a timeless dining destination.

The story behind the Smith & Wollensky name has long been surrounded by a few theories, from the names of dogs to a random discovery in a phonebook. Whatever its true origin may be, the name has since become closely associated with classic American steakhouse dining, quality beef, and warm hospitality.

At the center of its menu is its selection of steaks, particularly USDA Prime cuts chosen from the top 2% of cattle in America. The beef is dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days, a process that enhances tenderness while deepening its rich, beefy flavor. For Executive Chef John Paul Gaffud, 28 days offer the ideal balance of flavor, tenderness, and the true character of steak.

Among the most popular cuts is the USDA Prime 28 Day Dry-Aged Bone-In Rib Eye 620 g. (Php 9,980), loved for its generous marbling and rich taste. Smith & Wollensky also uses high-quality broilers that reach extremely high heat, allowing the steaks to develop a beautiful crust while staying juicy in the center.

Beyond steaks, the menu features seafood and classic steakhouse starters such as the Crab Cake (Php 1,180) made with 100% blue crab, cognac mustard, and ginger sauce. For dessert, the Gigantic Chocolate Cake (Php1,280) is a signature favorite, layered with chocolate cake and chocolate mousse.

Leading the kitchen is Chef John Paul Gaffud, a Filipino chef whose culinary journey began in Seattle, Washington, where he worked his way up from dishwasher to executive chef.

With more than 20 years in the food and beverage industry, including around 15 years as executive chef across grill concepts, Spanish and Mexican restaurants, airline catering, and large-scale catering operations, he now brings his experience home to the Philippines. His philosophy is simple but meaningful: cook with passion, and prepare every plate as if it were for one’s mother—with the goal of making someone smile.

Smith & Wollensky also offers a selection of private dining rooms and event spaces ideal for business meetings, intimate celebrations, corporate gatherings, and special occasions.

For smaller gatherings, the Taipei Room can accommodate 4 guests, with a minimum consumable rate of Php 18,000 for lunch and Php 24,000 for dinner.
