HIRO Premier Japanese Yakiniku in BGC: A Refined Yakiniku Experience Centered on Premium Omi Wagyu
Since its soft opening on September 15, 2025, HIRO Premier Japanese Yakiniku has been steadily establishing itself as one of BGC’s notable destinations for Japanese-style grilled meat. Although the restaurant has not even completed its first full year of operations, it has already drawn a loyal mix of diners, from Japanese families and Filipino groups to younger Korean and Chinese customers looking for a premium yakiniku experience in the city.

Located on Level 5 at SM Aura Premier, HIRO Premier builds on the name of HIRO Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant in Makati while offering a polished dining experience centered on high-quality beef, carefully curated menus, and attentive service. Before the branch opened, the entire team underwent a month of training at the Makati branch, allowing the staff to become familiar with the restaurant’s service standards, food preparation, and overall approach to Japanese yakiniku.

At the heart of Yakiniku Hiro Premium is its biggest highlight: Omi Wagyu, directly imported from Daikichi Farm in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Considered one of Japan’s prized Wagyu varieties, Omi Beef has become the restaurant’s most popular offering and the main reason many guests visit. Its rich flavor, fine marbling, and tender texture make it a standout choice for diners who want to experience a more elevated form of yakiniku.
For those dining at HIRO Premier for the first time, a culinary exploration of their course menu is an excellent way to experience the restaurant’s premium offerings.

Their Shin Course (Php 5,800/pax) is a premier tasting course that highlights not only their Omi Beef, but also a well-curated progression of flavors that begins with refined appetizers such as Omi Wagyu Yukke and Meri-Mero “Kimchi & Namuru,” followed by the refreshing Crab Choregi Salad.

The course then moves into its main highlights, including the Toku-Jo Beef Tongue with Lemon, a selection of Omi Wagyu Yakiniku cuts such as rib eye, outside skirt, chuck ribs, and chuck roll, and the chef’s specialty, which may feature Omi Wagyu “Niku-Sushi” with Uni and Arita Beef Aburi Sushi or Aburi Omi Wagyu Striploin depending on the guests’ choice.

Another popular offering at HIRO Premier is the Omi Wagyu Rokuten Mori (Php 7,500), a platter featuring six premium cuts of Omi Wagyu that allows guests to enjoy a variety of textures and flavors in one order. Considered one of the restaurant’s luxury menu items, many diners enjoy it together with rice, salad, soup, yukhoe, and other side dishes, creating a full and satisfying meal around the grilled meat.
Guests may also choose between Omi Wagyu and Miyazaki Arita Wagyu, giving them the opportunity to compare two distinct types of Japanese beef. This variety has made the menu even more appealing, especially for diners who appreciate wagyu and want to explore different flavors and textures within one meal.
The menu is supervised by Master Chef Shogo Izawa, who oversees the seasoning, presentation, and overall concept of each dish. This close supervision helps maintain the balance between premium ingredients and proper preparation, ensuring that the restaurant’s dishes remain true to the spirit of Japanese yakiniku while still being approachable to diners in Manila.
