Behind Flour Pot is Chef Rhea SyCip, whose love for baking began early. She started in the kitchen at the age of eight, making coconut macaroons for the first time using a stovetop casserole oven given by her aunt.
After finishing a degree in Communications, she pursued professional courses in Culinary Arts at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Upon graduating in 2004, she began her career as Corporate Chef for Dome Café Philippines, handling seven branches and becoming the youngest Corporate Chef of her time at only 23.

Chef Rhea later worked as a hotelier before setting her sights on building her own bakery. In 2017, Flour Pot Manila was born, first offering cakes online before growing into a household name for premium cakes and pastries.
She also continued her studies at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit and Paris for Bakery and Pastry Arts. Her work has since earned multiple recognitions, including being named one of Asia’s outstanding female entrepreneurs by ASEAN in 2023 and one of the best pastry chefs in the country by Tatler Philippines.
With Chef Rhea SyCip at the helm, Flour Pot Bistro & Bakery continues to grow as a destination for thoughtfully made food, where local ingredients, seasonal flavors, and a heartfelt bakery tradition are served with warmth and quiet elegance.
