The Manila-born concept first opened in 2015 as a neighborhood restaurant in Legazpi Village, Makati, where it quickly became a familiar spot for relaxed lunches, family dinners, and after-work gatherings.

What began as a single community favorite has since grown into a multi-branch brand, now present in San Juan (Santolan Town Plaza by Rockwell), Quezon City (The Arton Strip by Rockwell), and Alabang (Molito Lifestyle Center), each location carrying the same warm, convivial spirit that defined its beginnings.

In late 2025, Sicilian Roast celebrated a major milestone: its 10th anniversary, marked by the opening of its Molito branch and the rollout of a refreshed menu across all locations. While the restaurant remains anchored on its well-loved brick-oven pizzas and Italian comfort classics, the updated offerings place a stronger spotlight on premium steaks and a more robust pasta selection.

At its core, Sicilian Roast is best known for delivering satisfying, flavor-forward dishes meant for sharing. The space itself mirrors this philosophy. Guests are welcomed by a warm, relaxed ambiance, polished enough for business lunches and intimate celebrations, yet comfortable for long, unhurried meals with family and friends.
Among its standout offerings is the Mateo Pizza, a house specialty named after Executive Chef Matt Navarro.
Baked in the restaurant’s signature brick oven, the pizza comes generously topped with assorted Italian meats layered over marinara and melted mozzarella. Chili flakes add a gentle heat, while a drizzle of honey on the side brings a delicate sweetness that rounds out each bite.

For pasta lovers, the Frutti di Mare delivers both depth and indulgence. Squid ink pasta forms the base, crowned with baby squid, shrimp, clams, and mussels, all tossed in a rich shrimp bisque with crushed tomatoes, resulting in a dish that is briny, creamy, and deeply satisfying.

Meanwhile, meat enthusiasts gravitate toward the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, a classic Florentine-style steak prepared using premium Australian wagyu. Grilled simply to highlight the natural flavor of the beef, the steak is served for sharing, making it ideal as a centerpiece for the table.

Behind these dishes is no other than Executive Chef Matt Navarro, whose career spans close to two decades. He has worked in New York neighborhood restaurants and international five-star hotel kitchens, and later built experience in Manila across both fine dining and casual concepts. His style leans classic Italian in flavor, with a focus on balance and comfort, the kind of food that feels familiar but still polished.
Chef Matt is closely associated with Sicilian Roast’s brick-oven pizzas, often described as a hybrid of Neapolitan and New York style.
Beyond everyday dining, Sicilian Roast also caters to private gatherings and special occasions. Its Makati branch offers flexible event options, including full restaurant closures with rates starting at Php 90,000 for weekday lunches, Php 125,000 for weekday dinners, Php 120,000 for weekend lunches, and Php 150,000 for weekend dinners.
For more intimate functions, a private room is available with a consumable minimum of Php 15,000, well-suited for corporate meetings, celebrations, or family milestones.
