  • Nara Thai in Alabang: Authentic Thai Restaurant from Bangkok
  • You’ll know a Thai restaurant is truly a must-try when it’s awarded with the prestigious “Thai Select” by the Royal Thai Embassy in the Philippines; and Nara Thai in Alabang has received theirs on February, 2024!

Originating from Bangkok, Thailand, Nara Thai has made its way to Hong Kong, Myanmar, Mumbai, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Metro Manila, specifically in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong, Molito Lifestyle Center in Alabang, and most recently, in Garden Towers in Makati.

The bright and open interior of the restaurant is perfect for casual brunches and dinners, as well as other gatherings between friends and even business partners. There is also a quiet Mezzanine, an upstairs seating area, which can accommodate up to 45 guests, perfect for corporate meetings.

The restaurant has several signature offerings starting from their appetizers, down to their desserts.

Aside from their classic Pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodles) and the oh so spicy Por Taeg Talay (spicy seafood soup), Nara Thai also offers other noodle dishes just like the Phad See Eiw Gai Moo, a sweet stir-fried noodles with chicken and pork.

You may also try their Massaman Nuea Nong, a peanut-flavored curry with Massaman Beef or their Gai Hor Bai Toei, chicken wrapped in pandan leaves.

Pair these entrees with Khao Phad Sapparod, a Thai-style fried rice with pineapple, chicken, and shredded pork.

Note: Nara Thai’s dishes can be ordered either ala carte (good for two) or for sharing, with medium (good for five) and large (good for 10) servings as options.

Quench your thirst with their selection of juices, shakes, coffee, and other refreshing beverages!

Last, but definitely not the least, beat the summer heat by having fresh coconut juice, straight from the coco shell!

Last March 14, 2025, Nara Thai opened a new branch at Makati Palm Promenade along A. Arnaiz Street. Its interior is flooded by natural light, thanks to tall glass windows framed in sleek gold accents, which create an airy, upscale vibe. Inside, plush purple chairs, marble-top tables, and cascading floral arrangements add a touch of luxury, while warm lighting and refined decor make the space feel even more stylish.

Palm Grill in Quezon City: Discover the Bold Flavors of Zambasulta Cuisine
Palm Grill in Quezon City is a one-of-a-kind dining destination that brings the authentic cuisine of South of Mindanao to Luzon. Established in 2017, Palm Grill proudly serves the rich flavors, vibrant culture, and storied history of the Zambasulta region—Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi—offering diners a rare opportunity to explore Southern Mindanaon dishes without leaving Metro Manila. Known as the only authentic Southern Mindanaon restaurant in Luzon, Palm Grill goes beyond simply serving food. It showcases culinary traditions deeply rooted in Tausug and Zamboangueño heritage, highlighting ingredients and cooking techniques that are not commonly found in mainstream Filipino restaurants. A must-try for first-time diners is the Dulang (Php 1,119)—a specialty tray traditionally served during royal banquets. This curated sampler features a variety of Palm Grill’s signature dishes, making it the perfect introduction to the bold and layered flavors of Zambasulta cuisine. Presented generously and meant for sharing, it reflects the communal spirit of Southern dining. Another standout is the Tiyula Itum (Php 560), a striking black beef soup from the Tausug community. Cooked with lemongrass, galangal, turmeric, garlic, onions, and pepper, its distinctive dark color comes from burnt coconut meat, which imparts a deep, smoky richness. Often described as “Bulalo 2.0,” it offers a comforting yet complex flavor profile that surprises and delights. For something hearty and satisfying, the Beef Satti (Php 300) delivers skewered beef served with a flavorful sauce that perfectly balances sweet, savory, and spicy notes. It’s a beloved Southern staple that captures the bold personality of Mindanao’s cuisine. Through its thoughtfully prepared dishes and dedication to authenticity, Palm Grill continues to champion the culinary identity of Zambasulta. For diners in Quezon City seeking flavors beyond the usual Filipino fare, Palm Grill offers an immersive experience—where history, culture, and cuisine come together in every bite.
