  • Cabel in San Miguel, Manila: Old-World Elegance Meets Southern Mindanao Cuisine
  • Housed within a heritage-listed 1930s structure, Cabel has established itself as a refined dining institution often patronized by politicians, dignitaries, and notable personalities.

The space showcases elegant, old-world interiors marked by tiled flooring, rattan seating, and distinctive decorative details that highlight the building’s historic character.

Just outside, a verdant garden and peaceful koi pond lend a sense of calm, complementing the restaurant’s stately ambiance. In addition to its dining area, the property also features a bar, café, and a selection of private rooms, making it well-suited for both social and formal gatherings.

At the heart of Cabel is a Michelin Bib Gourmand-approved menu that reflects the length and breadth of Philippine cuisine, with a particular fondness for the bold, soulful flavors of southern Mindanao. Among its standouts is the Piyanggang Manok, a richly braised chicken dish simmered in turmeric, ground burnt coconut, lemongrass, ginger, chili, and an aromatic blend of spices.

Equally indulgent is the Lengua Estofado, where tender ox tongue is cooked in a savory stew of diced tomatoes, olives, tomato paste, and seasonings, delivering both richness and comforting familiarity.

Seafood lovers, meanwhile, will find solace in the Kusidong Pompano, a soothing Filipino fish soup brightened with ginger, garlic, onions, and a splash of calamansi that lifts its delicate flavors.

The restaurant’s spaces are thoughtfully designed to accommodate a range of dining occasions. The main dining area can host up to 60 guests, while the speakeasy bar, ideal for more intimate gatherings, seats 30 and can seamlessly merge with the main space for larger events.
