  • Apo Filipino Heritage Restaurant in Makati: A Taste of Home Through Filipino Flavors
  • Apo Filipino Heritage Restaurant in Salcedo Village, Makati offers a dining experience rooted in Filipino tradition, memory, and heritage, where each dish reflects the stories and flavors passed down through generations.

Opened in 2025 by Kian Kazemi, who is also behind concepts like Kite Kebab and Persia Grill, Apo Filipino Heritage Restaurant focuses on serving simple, home-style Filipino dishes that highlight authenticity and comfort.

More than just a restaurant, Apo presents Filipino food as an extension of home—a place where meals are meant to be shared, much like a salu-salo or handaan. The menu highlights familiar dishes inspired by family recipes, celebrating the flavors shaped by local ingredients, regional influences, and everyday cooking.

One of the highlights is Chato’s Inasal since 1959, a charcoal-grilled dish that pays tribute to Ilonggo and Negrense heritage. Guests can choose from chicken, fish, or pork, all marinated in calamansi, native vinegar, garlic, lemongrass, and annatto oil, then grilled to achieve a smoky and flavorful finish.

Their Heritage Set, served with soup, rice, and homemade atchara, features dishes such as the Pak-Pak Chicken Wings (Php 275) and Pork Liempo (Php 298)—both known for their rich flavors and satisfying portions. The restaurant also offers ala carte or set meal options for groups.

For dessert, Apo collaborates with Purple Yam Mnl, a Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized brand, offering items like the Calamansi Meringue (Php 328)—a light and refreshing dessert that complements the savory dishes.

With its focus on heritage recipes, local ingredients, and shared dining, Apo Filipino Heritage Restaurant offers a space where Filipino cuisine is experienced not just as food, but as a reflection of culture and identity.
