  • Love Burgers in Makati: Garage-Based Burger Restaurant Serving Dry-Aged Wagyu Burgers
  • Love Burgers is a garage-based burger restaurant in Makati, serving handcrafted burgers made with locally raised dry-aged Wagyu beef and house-made ingredients.

Founded by Chef Christopher Manalo, the restaurant opened in 2022 and continues to operate from a converted family garage, where it has built a loyal following through word of mouth.

Every burger begins with locally raised dry-aged Wagyu beef, freshly ground in-house and hand-portioned into 125-gram patties. Rather than making ultra-thin smash burgers, the patties are smashed just enough to develop a caramelized crust while remaining thick, juicy, and tender.

The restaurant prepares its ingredients fresh every day, including potato buns, Love Sauce, caramelized onions, pickles, and fresh-cut fries. The buns are butter-toasted to order, while each burger is assembled according to the restaurant’s in-house standards to ensure consistency.

One of the Love Burgers’ signature offerings is The OG (Php 420), made with a 125-gram dry-aged Wagyu patty, American cheese, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, slow-caramelized white onions, crispy bacon, and house-made Love Sauce on a butter-toasted potato bun.

Another highlight is the Cheeseburger (Php 420), featuring a dry-aged Wagyu patty with American cheese, house-made bread and butter pickles, fresh red onions, mustard, and ketchup on a butter-toasted potato bun.

For sides, guests can order the Fresh-Cut Fries (Php 175), prepared daily from fresh potatoes, or the Copycat Fries (Php 340), made with fresh-cut fries and topped with Love Sauce, warm cheese sauce, caramelized red onions, and pickled chilies. Inspired by In-N-Out’s iconic Animal Style Fries, Copycat Fries add bright acidity and gentle heat from the pickled chilies for a flavor that is distinctly their own.

The restaurant is led by Chef Christopher Manalo, who studied pastry in New York before training in Michelin-starred restaurants in the United States. He later attended MAD Academy’s Business & Leadership Program in Copenhagen. Although his background is rooted in fine dining, he established Love Burgers to apply the same discipline and attention to detail to classic comfort food.

Love Burgers offers limited garage-style dine-in seating and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservations accepted. Parking is limited to a small number of street-side spaces and may be unavailable during peak hours, so guests are encouraged to use ride-hailing services or order for pickup or delivery instead.

Orders may be placed through Instagram, by calling 0977-616-5985, or via GrabFood by searching “Love Burgers – Makati”. Additionally, cookies from its sister brand, Bake Scout, may also be added to the same order for delivery.

With its focus on fresh-ground Wagyu beef, toasted potato buns, and classic burger combinations, Love Burgers has built its menu around straightforward ingredients and made-to-order preparation.
