  • Zuzu Ramen in Boracay: Limited Bowls, Big Slurps by Bulabog Beach
  • Boracay’s dining scene gets a warm, comforting addition with Zuzu Ramen, a ramen spot serving bowls nightly on the island. Located on Bulabog Beach, Boracay, Zuzu brings a simple yet focused concept: ramen every night, with a limited number of bowls and no reservations.

Its name comes from a Japanese onomatopoeia that captures the sound of noodles being slurped with full, unrestrained enjoyment—just as in Japan, where big slurps are seen as a sign of appreciation for a delicious bowl of ramen.

For travelers and Boracay locals craving something rich, hot, and satisfying after a day by the beach, Zuzu offers a casual ramen experience centered on the joy of slurping.

Zuzu only serves three kinds of ramen, which include Shoyu, a soy-forward pork broth with chashu slices, marinated egg, leeks, nori, and kikurage, which makes the ensemble deep, savory, and quietly addictive.

They also serve Tantanmen, featuring spicy, marinated ground pork, rich broth, pechay, leeks, and egg. This bowl has a creamy heat that builds with every bite.

Lastly, they have the Tonkotsu, a slow-simmered pork bone broth layered with chashu, egg, leeks, and kikurage, transforming this ramen dish into a silky full-bodied classic.

All their ramen dishes are priced at Php 420, an affordable bowl that will keep you coming back for more!

To complete the meal, diners may also pair their ramen with Pork Gyoza (Php 280), a classic Japanese pan-seared dumpling, filled with ground pork, garlic, ginger, and spring onion, best enjoyed with a steaming bowl of noodles. With its crisp exterior and savory filling, gyoza adds another layer of comfort to Zuzu’s simple yet satisfying menu.

Its setup follows a first-come, first-served approach, making each visit feel a little more intentional for diners hoping to catch a bowl before it sells out. Zuzu officially introduced its soft opening from June 12 to 15, serving only 30 bowls a night from 6:00 p.m. until midnight, further emphasizing its small-batch, limited-serving style.

With its evening-only schedule, limited bowls, and relaxed island setting, Zuzu Ramen is shaping up to be a must-try stop for those exploring Boracay beyond the usual beachfront fare. Diners are encouraged to come early, as once the bowls are gone, the night’s ramen run ends.
