  • From July 29 to 31, 2022, Otasuke Cosplay Festival (OtasukeFes) will bring Filipino anime fans together to celebrate the local costume-roleplayers (cosplay) community and Japanese pop culture!

    OtasukeFes gathers people from different walks of life as they share their appreciation for the cosplay community who incorporate it with games, theatrical arts, performances, among others

    Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, OtaCutE has been revving up its engines by adding new and exciting activities, games, contests, and more to make sure that in every event, something fun and memorable happens.

    After all, OtaCutE’s main goal is to spread happiness not just to cosplayers, but to literally everyone else.

    OtaCutE is also pioneering a maid café and an AniKura (anime club), with 30 ambassadors affiliated to the local cosplay community joining the call.

    One top of that, the organization will be launching a new venue at LA Village, with two stages open for everything from cosplay, Japanese culture, anime, and AniKura. It is also introducing more activities to the event such as cosplay competition, kimono fashion show, karaoke contest, and artist alley workshops.

    The WALLSTREET will be officially debuting in OtasukeFes as the new space for everything cosplay, Japanese culture, and AniKura, bringing new ideas and opportunities to the grassroots community in the Metro.

    At this site, there will also be a cosplay runaway and special kinomo fashion show (in collaboration with Kimono PH) to bring the J-pop culture closer to the hearts of the Filipinos.

    Aside from these, participants may also participate in and enjoy various otaku-friendly activites such as special performances by Philippine Karate Team’s James De Los Santos and Juuna Tsukii and dance groups Wotogei Hibana, LolBabes and LolBoys, Urodia, Nekonnect, and Polar.

    On July 30 (Day 1), JAPANIGHT, an AniKura/Japanese club-themed event, will brighten the night(life) as some the most in-demand DJs in the Metro hype the party peeps up with OSTs from the most popular anime, funky house and EDM beats, and other hits that will surely make the participants hit the dance floor.

    OtasukeFes will surely be a fun-filled event packed with activities for everyone to enjoy and both OtaCutE and co-presenter Exosia Project cannot wait to create new and exciting experiences for the J-pop community in the country.
