TESDA Offers 68 Free Online Courses to Take This ECQ
As the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was again extended, you may feel like you have done all the things you think you could accomplish while letting such a situation pass.
If you think as you have already run out of stuff to do, you might want to re-think that part again because there is always something you are yet to learn. Just in case you wish to get more accomplishments during the ECQ, better check Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)‘s free online courses!
The TESDA Online Program (TOP) is an open educational resource that aims to make technical education more accessible to Filipino citizens. This goal will be made possible through the help of information and communication technologies to provide an effective and efficient way of delivering technical education and skills development services to a bigger number of people.
TESDA’s online program targets broader audiences or a wide range of users as well as all learners at a lesser cost. With this, below is the list of free online courses that you could choose from:
- 21st Century Skills (Communication and Environmental Literacy)
- Agriculture
- Automotive
- Entrepreneurship
- Electrical and Electronics (Computer System Servicing)
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition
- Human Health/Health Care
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT Courses, Microsoft Online Courses, and Udemy Courses)
- Lifelong Learning Skills
- Maritime
- Process Food and Beverages (Food Processing NC II)
- Social, Community Development, and Others
- Tourism (Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Cookery NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, Front Office Services NC II, and Housekeeping NC II)
- Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
How you can register
- On the TESDA Online Program website, click the “Login” button and you will be taken to the login page.
- Click on the “New Account” button to create an account for first-time registrants.
- Fill out the form. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory to be filled. After that, click on the “Create my new account” button.
- After creating your account, a message will be sent to your email address. The email contains a link to activate your account, simply click on the link and your account will be activated.
How to enroll in a course
- Before you can enroll in a course, make sure that you had created an account on the TOP website.
- Login to the TOP website using your registered username and password.
- Once logged in, you will be taken to the TOP front page. The list of available courses is displayed on this page. Click on the link of the course that you want to enroll in.
- Click on the link of the module you wish to take and click on the “Enroll me in this course” link.
- A message box will appear asking if you really want to enroll in the module. Click on the “Yes” button to proceed.
