  • Manila Food and Beverages Expo (MAFBEX), the country’s biggest and most anticipated food show, is back to serve up another round of gastronomic excitement. Officially opening its doors today, MAFBEX 2018 will run from June 13 to 17, from 10 am to 8 pm at the World Trade Center in Pasay.

    Now on its 12th edition, this year’s MAFBEX aims to unleash the foodie out of every visitor and likewise unlock wondrous B2B and B2C opportunities for trade players and investors in the F&B scene.

    Mafbex Events Management (MEM) Founding Chairman Joseph Ang, fellow MEM executives, Camille Villar representing Sen. Cynthia Villar, Secretary of the Department of Agriculture Emmanuel Piñol, and Assistant Secretary for the Department of Trade and Industry Depna Naga and Ambassadors cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open MAFBEX 2018

    MAFBEX 2018 has the tagline, The Ultimate Foodventure, gathering exhibitors of both local and international F&B companies. It aims to constantly showcase the finest and freshest tastes and flavors from various cultures. The event will not be complete without the MAFBEX seminars, the Food Franchising Zone, and the Regional Agri-Food Zone.

    MAFBEX 2018 boasts of 500 booths that are strategically and conveniently located throughout the World Trade Center exhibition hall

    Apart from connecting exhibitors with potential investors, distributors, and sponsors, MAFBEX advocates learning. The growth of the F&B industry depends on the constant exchange of valuable industry information thus, their student-centered competitions and seminars. MAFBEX seminars provide show goers access to knowledge platforms.

    Many industry players, those opening small or medium-sized enterprises, and students will find the topics to be both educational and eye opening. Seminar speakers include Noboyuki Haruyama for Kewpie, Chef Sabrina Artadi for McCormick, and Chef Kim Marie Castillo for F&B Consultancy and on Running a Business.

    Attendees are also invited to witness cooking demonstrations, contests, and live competitions such as the 2nd MAFBEX Culinary Home Chef Edition, Flair Competition, and the YHE Culinary Competitions. Most of these will feature up and coming students from culinary schools and Hotel and Restaurant management students that will be cooking on the spot in a showcase skill and knowledge.

    Going over and beyond the typical expectations from food shows, MAFBEX shows us how F&B expos are done: not only to showcase goods for consumers but also exposing the latest trends, introducing innovative products and services, and nurturing B2B and B2C possibilities.

    MAFBEX 2018 will run from June 13 to 17, from 10 AM to 8 PM at the World Trade Center, Pasay, Manila.
