  • Multi-awarded Korean Master Chef Hyeon Cheol Joo joins Flavors of the World: Seoul-Ful Gastronomy at Spiral.

Spiral at Sofitel Philippine Plaza has borne witness to people’s love for Korean food. A restaurant that showcases international cuisines spanning 21 dining ateliers, Spiral has particularly seen the popularity of the Korean atelier among its patrons. What’s there not to love about Korean food? Besides being a worthy match to the Filipino’s adventurous palette, it is undeniably one of the most delicious and dynamic cuisines, with diverse flavors and high nutritional value.

At Spiral’s Korean atelier, you can find a variety of kimchi, Korean’s national dish that’s famous all over the world.

To celebrate this, Spiral has collaborated with Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines to present Flavors of the World: SEOUL-Ful Gastronomy, the latest installment of the restaurant’s culinary series that puts the spotlight on each of the world’s precious cuisines.

L-R: Korean Master Chef Hyeon Cheol Joo of Seoul Dragon City, Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila’s Director of Sales and Marketing Assia Daourova, General Manager Adam Laker, Jang Soongkyung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines His Excellency Han Dong-Man, Director of F&B Bilal Shafiq, Executive Chef Nicholas Shadbolt, and Director of PR Yasmine Hidalgo.

The best way to have an authentic experience of Korean cuisine is to have a taste of dishes prepared by a Korean chef himself. For the Seoul-Ful Gastronomy at Spiral, multi-awarded Korean master chef Hyeon Cheol Joo has come to Manila to showcase the finest specialties of Korea and incorporate his own unique style to the culinary offerings of Spiral’s Korean atelier. Hailing from Gyeonggi-do province, he is currently the head chef of the Korean station of international buffet restaurant In Style at Seoul Dragon City.
