  • BCCP Holds their Year-end Conference and Media Appreciation Luncheon
  • With the year coming to a near end, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines had held their year-end conference and media appreciation luncheon last December 12, 2017 at Raffles Makati.

As a governing body that develops and promotes member interests with government and business bodies in the Philippines and in Britain, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines has been doing the following:

    • Continues to provide assistance to British companies in and out of the country
    • Shows and demonstrates support for the country’s government 10-point socioeconomic agenda under the Duterte Administration
    • Tries to foster an open, and a more liberalized and business-friendly environment for business sectors that would want to start up business within the borders of the Philippine islands
    • Continually strengthens the UK-Philippine trade relations happening within and outside the country.

During the media appreciation luncheon, a keynote speech was given by Mr. Chris Nelson, Executive Chairman of the BCCP stating his plan for the upcoming year while still asking for support from the media industry. He stated that the Philippines is slowly achieving improvements that were aimed for but still need further enrichment. Together with the help of the media, the goals of the BCCP of achieving continuity and strengthened relationships may be achieved.

The year-end conference ended with a lunch out and with Mr. Chris Nelson stating a series of upcoming events the BCCP has in store for the coming year which will include a road show activity probably by April 2018, and an enrichment tour in Ilo-ilo by the first quarter of 2018.
