PH cultural center Sentro Rizal opens in Rome, Milan
The overseas Philippine cultural center Sentro Rizal has opened in Rome and Milan in Italy this November to reach out to the international community and Filipino community abroad.

According to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Sentro Rizal is recognized by virtue of Section 42 of Republic Act 10066 known as the National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009. The establishment of Sentro Rizal is for the promotion of Philippine arts, culture, and language globally.
The Sentro Rizal in Rome was inaugurated on November 29 graced by Philippine Ambassador Domingo Nolasco and Felipe de Leon Jr., of NCCA while the inauguration in Milan was attended by Consul General Marichu Mauro and de Leon on November 28.
As per NCCA, Sentro Rizal serves as a repository of materials on Philippine arts, culture and language including but not limited to books, digital video discs, compact discs, films, magazines, artworks, tourism promotion materials, information materials, among others. These materials are available to the public, both Filipino and foreign.
Since September, Sentro Rizal has expanded in other countries such as Doha in Qatar, Cairo in Africa, and Agana in Guam. At present there are 21 Sentro Rizals in the world.
