AWCP Halloween Charity Ball 2016
The American Women’s Club of the Philippines (AWCP) celebrated its annual charity ball with a Halloween theme last October 15 (Saturday) at the Midas Hotel and Casino, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
With first Halloween theme event, the 22nd annual charity ball turned out spooky yet definitely meaningful and fun. Members and attendees showed up all donning fancy and scary costumes. Every year, AWCP chooses one charity to be the main beneficiary of this event. This 2016, they chose Welcome Home foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organization serving the deaf people in the Philippines. AWCP first partnered with Welcome Home Foundation 7 years ago. They provided computers and a deep-well which served very helpful to Welcome Home’s farm.
Part of this event’s proceed will be donated to Welcome Home foundation in Bacolod to be used for their current water system project.

The program also included a silent auction. A lot of the items in the auction were donated by AWCP members; some of them were from companies around the Philippines. There are travel services, hotel accommodations, paintings, wines and furniture that are all up for bidding.

Guests enjoyed the dance floor all night with music by Ko Jones Band. Some of them even got the best luck of the night to the event’s raffle prizes!
