  • Pannzian Beach and Mountain Resort in Pagudpud: Every Traveler’s Dream Retreat Haven
  • The most effective way to take a break from the busy lifestyle in the metro is to isolate oneself in a faraway place to reconnect with yourself and be one with nature.

In the northernmost tip of Luzon in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte lies a remote beach and mountain resort perfect for those who crave for a peaceful sojourn getaway.

Pannzian Beach Resort offers the best of nature, from the unpopulated beach, blue waters, to towering mountains, and cold breeze—except cell phone signals, television sets, and other high-tech amenities. This resort values the simplicity of life away from any urban distraction, promoting a stress-free and healthy lifestyle.

The resort has four distinct rooms: the Duplex (Php 7,000 to Php 8,000), which can accommodate up to 7 persons; Cottages (Php 2,000 to Php 4,800) for 2 to 4 persons; Kayo rooms (Php 6,000 to Php 7,200), which can fit big groups of 8; and the Lodging rooms (Php 2,000 to Php 9,200). Travelers can expect a warm inviting vibe in each room, where most are suitable for big groups or families on a vacation.

    Be one with nature

Since there is limited access to gadgets, guests can enjoy various nature activities and adventures. Adventure-goers will enjoy hiking and trekking in the mountains or swim at the beach and the Pannzian River. They can also experience fishing with the locals, go on bird walk tours, and play all sorts of sports—beach volleyball, Frisbee or just a morning run, at the large private beachfront.

Get active in Pannzian’s outdoor sports activities

Volunteer artists are sometimes invited over to the resort to teach arts and crafts to guests.

Hammocks and wooden chairs are provided along the beachfront for those who opt to spend a tranquil afternoon by the beach. At night, you may request for a bonfire set up by the beach to drink, make smores, or just have a serene night out with your friends or the locals in the area.

Aside from exciting outdoor activities, visitors may also opt to go around Adams, a small community within the Pagudpud mountains and home to the last tribes in Ilocos region. This Adams Adventure will take you to a sightseeing experience in one of the communities’ waterfall and hanging bridge, as well as access to some local products like the Bugnay wine, cacao, and coffee.

The area outside Pannzian Beach is also rich with tourist attractions and activities. You may trek to Kabigan Falls, visit the Mira-ira beach dubbed as the “Boracay of the North,” or go surfing in Kapuluan, a famous surf spot in Pagudpud.
